After wearing the Eggshell and Breast Cancer Awareness uniforms in back-to-back games, the Ducks are going with the clean and classic apple green/white/apple green combination for Saturday afternoon's tilt against the Golden Bears. Along with yellow/white/yellow, this is easily one of the more classic and immediately identifiable road combos for the Ducks. In my opinion, this is one of the very few combinations that should be worn once a year. That's exactly what they have done in recent years, wearing this combo once last year, in 2020, and in 2019. They also wore it in 2017, 2016 (multiple times), and 2015. Last year the Ducks wore green gloves and socks with this set, but the promo shots for this year's version show white gloves and socks instead. The white socks in particular provide a better balance to the uniform as a whole, especially with the special-edition cleats that'll be worn.
