After a seven year hiatus, the Ducks are bringing back the pink for the October 22nd Top-15 showdown against Chip Kelly and UCLA. The Ducks first wore pink in 2013 when they had special edition pink helmets that were paired with their standard black uniforms and later auctioned off to benefit breast cancer research. A year later, they had special black uniforms with pink numbers and accents. Those 2014 uniforms were paired with the Ducks' regular black helmets that just had pink decals on them for the occasion. For this new 2022 Breast Cancer Awareness uniform, the entire uniform from helmet to cleats is brand new, with each piece having pink and volt accents. The jerseys and pants follow the same design template as the other uniforms in the current set, while the black helmets got a new paint job for this year with pink gradient wings instead of the yellow gradient wings that were on there last year. With the addition of volt accents to this latest BCA uniform, the whole package feels like a successful remix of the previous BCA uniforms and previous neon-accented uniforms.
