What if the Ducks had used their 2020 "Ohana" uniform as inspiration for the uniform set that they unveiled prior to the 2021 season? While I actually like the current uniforms quite a bit, I can't help but feel like it was a missed opportunity not creating an entire uniform set built around a stripped-down version of the one-off Ohana uniforms. Below I have created a concept of what an Ohana-based uniform set could've looked like, with apple green, yellow, black, and white versions (all using the actual helmets from the current set). I decided to take away the sublimated pattern that adorned the front, back, and sleeves of the one-off Ohana jersey and focused solely on the diamond-like design around the neckline. The press release for the Ohana uniform said that the pattern around the neckline called to mind feather cloaks worn by Hawaiian nobility for ceremonies or battle and invoked a green lei. In this concept, the design around the neckline stays the exact same, but the colors are different to better match the color scheme of each jersey. Aside from the neckline design, I decided to add TV numbers to the sleeves, a feature that hasn't been seen on Oregon uniforms since 2012-15.
